Football Stadium - Belarusia

Ofis arhitekti | Football Stadium Fc Bate Borisov

The stadium opening is planned for 2012, when the City of Borisov celebrates a significant anniversary. Distribution of the program takes into account the natural advantages of location and existing interventions in the terrain and the fact that the stadium has 13.000 seats, has to obtain 4stars according to UEFA categorization and have additional 3.000m2 of public program.

The stadium with external arrangements has to provide quality traffic organization and controlled / separate access during the match and in everyday use. Position also maintains the most of existing trees on the site. The final aspect of the complex is a recognizable image of the dominant facility, placed in soft greenery. The stadium will have its own, distinctive modern character and will be based on environmental and user friendly approach.
Stadium arena forms unified rounded dome impression of a single enclosed object. Despite its middle size has impression of large, dominant and powerful landmark. Internally, a rounded arena provides good acoustics and extroversive atmosphere during the game for both, players and fans. And during training time allows introverted concentration on the game.

The playing surface has N – S orientation, size of playground is 68x105m, size of area is 85x105m, between spaces allows enough space for the installation of the advertising screens, photographers and cameras. The seats are arranged around the playground in 17 rows along the long sides and of 27-28 rows along the short sides. West upper gallery is reserved for the press, east on for VIP. Under the west stand area there are 4 floors with extra program and service facilities, under the east side 3 floors and on west side 2 floors.

Foyer for visitors is on the first floor level and has 4 accesses by stairway with access control. Foyer is a covered plateau, naturally ventilated and unheated area. This is a place for a break during the half with the visitors’ toilets, bars (drinks and snacks), first-aid room and detention. The space extends all around the inner part of the stadium arena. Toilets and bars are designed as closed isolated heated boxes. 250 seats in the central upper part are reserved for VIP.

Access is via elevator directly to the entrance area with option of car driveway. VIP seats are designed to high standards and have the opportunity to link the smaller individual units rented by companies or groups. As part of the VIP stands are two separate rooms as bar or entertainment room during the break with sanitation. On the opposite side are press cabins and seats with tables for 40 journalists with direct access to the stairs to the press room and the mix zone.
Separate access for soccer players is from the lower platform, with direct access for team buses and parking. On entry point to the field there are two dressing rooms, mix zone, a place for doping and physiotherapy. 3.000 m2 of public programme is distributed on zero level on the N, S and E. On eastern part restaurant and bowling are located. The restaurant is used during the match as a VIP restaurant and a service elevator for catering serves, VIP lounge and the bar within the public foyer.
On southern part are public fitness/gym studios. Other public area spaces are designed for various commercial activities. All the restaurants have individual access from the public platform. Around the stadium is rounded pedestrian square acting as a meeting area and also as a peripheral roundabout. Out of it parking pockets are organized hidden into the existing forest area. These pockets are in a time with no match used for skating, rollerblading, carting etc…

Housing Razgledi Perovo-Slovenia

Dekleva Gregorič arhitekti | Housing Razgledi Perovo

The houses on Perovo stand on an exposed location with an exceptional view of the Kamniško-Savinjske Alps in the background. However the view is not the only characteristic of this location, as the houses represent a dominant feature of the valley when viewed from below.
Thus the architectural task at hand brings at least two important challenges. First, it is necessary to design and create a quality living environment for the future residents, and second, the project provides an opportunity to redefine the look of the settlement on Perovo which has a rather heterogeneous and inharmonious layout with its scattered individual houses.
Relatively high volumes are structured with a simple architectural approach: the ground floor is designed to act as a »pedestal« of the house, supporting two smaller volumes with steep skillion roofs. Therefore the smaller upper volumes, with continuous wooden facade cladding, contribute an important effect to the looks and the ambience of the settlement as a whole.
situation:
The existing building plan proposed two rows of parcels with twin housing units. The decision to change the bottom row into a lower-density housing with individual houses opened up the view on the Kamniško-Savinjske Alps for the upper row as well.

turn-around:
With relatively dense housing, it is important to maintain a basic level of privacy of the gardens. The wooden garden terraces linked to the living rooms are orientated so that the residents of the twin housing units do not disturb each other while spending their afternoons outside.

floor plans:
Flexibility is an important property of the houses and an integral part of the structural concept. All of the load-bearing walls are located on the perimeter, which enables custom layouts of the rooms inside, both on the ground floor and on the second floor.
